Welcome to my website!
My name is Anna Fiona Keogh. I have been practicing
dance movement psychotherapy for over 15 years.
Dance movement psychotherapy
is about sensing into the body and feeling into your bones, to remember who you are.
It is about exploring inner and outer expressions of movement
to gain insight of what you actually need right now and what you need to feel alive and well.
The body says what words cannot. Martha Graham

Dance movement psychotherapy is a form of psychotherapy where we attend to our experience of moving. It is a space to re-member your connection with your body, find out what you need to heal and thrive, to express yourself fully and to explore creative solutions.
Why choose DMT?
- You’ve tried talking therapy before and would like to try a new approach
- You are creative and like to express yourself through the arts i.e. music, art, dance or drama
- You think about things constantly and want to get out of your head (and into your body)
- You're looking for a supportive and caring relationship in which you can explore any issue at your own pace
Do I need to be able to dance to do DMT?
No. You don’t need any particular dance or movement experience to do DMT. Neither do you have to be able-bodied or physically fit. Once you are alive, you move, and so can engage with DMT!
What sort of music is involved?
This is up to you. You may prefer not to move with music at all.
Do I dance the whole time in a session or can I talk aswell?
DMT is about integrating our inner experience and out experience, so talking and expressing with words and sounds is central to the therapy. Some people like to move a lot in a session and some prefer to talk a lot and move a little. The way a session takes shape is basically up to you.
How long does a session last?
Individual sessions usually last 1 hour to 90 minutes and group sessions last 60 to 90 minutes.
When?
I offer in-person and hybrid (a mix of both in-person and online) sessions on Monday mornings and Tuesday afternoons. I also offer sessions outdoors.
Where?
I offer therapy outdoors, online and in my practice, on the main street in Greystones Health and Wellbeing Centre, Co.Wicklow,
https://greystoneshealthandwellbeingcentre.com. If you would like to have online sessions, it's very helpful to have at least one in-person session.
